Architecture is a form of art. The boundary between these two disciplines is very fluid and malleable. Sometimes, it’s easier to explain architecture using a form of art. Everyone is familiar with photography, which allows architecture to be presented in a new format. Videography is also an effective method. A 3D scan of buildings can clarify their construction and history. I studied architecture in Antwerp, and the combination of heritage and contemporary art greatly interests me. With the goal of translating architecture into other forms of art, I aim to bring architecture to the general public. This results in images and videos that sometimes explain nothing but reflect the current situation.

Tout le monde connaît la photographie, qui permet de présenter l’architecture sous un nouveau format. La vidéographie est également une méthode efficace. Une numérisation 3D des bâtiments peut clarifier leur construction et leur histoire. J'ai étudié l'architecture à Anvers et la combinaison du patrimoine et de l'art contemporain m'intéresse énormément. Dans cet objectif de traduire l'architecture dans d'autres formes d'art, je souhaite amener l'architecture au grand public. Il en résulte des images et des vidéos qui parfois n’expliquent rien, mais reflètent la situation actuelle.

The first edition of the Biennale des arts de Gouvy will take place from 29 September - 8 October. Multiple artist will exhibit their work at the castle of Gouvy and around town. The work of special guests Rose-ann Melis (photography) and Michiel Van der Veken (Furniture design) can be discovered for a limited time only.
